Cygnus supply ship delivers 3.8-ton cargo load to International Space Station

NASA flight engineer Anne McClain grappled Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus supply ship with the International Space Station’s robotic arm Friday, marking the automated cargo freighter’s arrival after an abbreviated day-and-a-half-long journey from a launch pad in Virginia with nearly 7,600 pounds of experiments, food and provisions.

Orbital Micro Systems Weather Observation Satellite Launched on NASA Mission

On April 17 (2019), Orbital Micro Systems (OMS) scored a successful launch of the first weather observation satellite in its Global Environmental Monitoring System (GEMS) constellation, from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia. A D-Band microwave radiometer is the core sensor on the satellite.

Orbital Micro Systems, NanoAvionics Partner for Weather Satellite Launch

Orbital Micro Systems (OMS) is partnering with NanoAvionics, a developer of nanosatellite bus and subsystem technologies, to conduct a rideshare mission to fly one of OMS’ miniaturized passive microwave sensors. The mission will utilize the NanoAvionics M6P 6U satellite bus.
